Christine helped me immeasurably with the early drafts of my book. From deep developmental feedback to sentence-level edits, all of her suggestions were spot on. She pointed out things that weren’t working, as well as things that were, with exceptional thoughtfulness and insight.

I have been an editor for 16 years. Most recently, I worked on websites that serve various target audiences, from novices to IT users. As a technical editor, I developed a seminar on how and why to write for an international audience and co-wrote a best practices guide on writing for a global audience. I have also edited and proofread books for The Mountaineers Books, Sasquatch Books, and individual authors and have experience with fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

I was delighted when Christine agreed to critique my manuscript, Upend the Outcome. She accomplished something I had been stewing about: a crisp description of the manuscript’s themes, that I can now articulate concisely. I didn’t incorporate every individual suggestion, but they were provocative enough to take me into the work with fresh curiosity. I feel this process led the manuscript toward the authority, voice, I was seeking.
