About Christine
Christine Johnson-Duell is the author of the poetry chapbook, Italian Lessons and contributed to the anthology, CREDO: An Anthology of Manifestos and Sourcebook for Creative Writing. Her poems and essays have appeared in national journals, including Poet Lore and Calyx; and she has written op-eds for The Boston Globe, The Tennessean, and The Seattle Times.
Christine has been awarded residencies at Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency, Monson Arts and Hedgebrook. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from the University of Washington.
Christine was writer-in-residence at several schools in Seattle and taught in the Humanities Department at Shoreline Community College.
By day, she is a librarian and a sometime fundraising consultant to arts nonprofits across the country.
Christine lives and works on Cape Cod, the unceded Native lands of the Nauset band of the Wompanoag Nation, People of the First Light.
